Whether Marvel or DC is better depends on personal preference. Marvel is known for its grounded, character-driven storytelling, with heroes like Spider-Man and the X-Men struggling with relatable problems. DC, on the other hand, embraces larger-than-life, mythic storytelling, with icons like Superman and Batman representing grand ideals. In movies, Marvel has dominated with the MCUs interconnected universe, while DC has seen success with darker, director-driven films like The Dark Knight and Joker. Both have rich histories and incredible stories so the best choice is simply whichever resonates with you more.

Comic books are typically organized into issues, which are single chapters of a story released monthly or bi-monthly. Several issues are collected into trade paperbacks or graphic novels, which compile a full story arc for easier reading. Comics are also categorized by publishers (Marvel, DC, Image, etc.), genres (superhero, horror, sci-fi, etc.), and continuity, some stories exist within a shared universe, while others are standalone or alternate takes (like Elseworlds for DC or What If for Marvel). Additionally, major publishers use imprints, such as DCs Black Label for mature stories or Marvels Ultimate Universe for modern reimaginings.
